Away for a Day: Inspired by Win Son, Los Angeles
A little Taiwanese inspiration, a few unexpected twists, and a dinner that takes you somewhere new.
Pack your appetite! Our next Away for a Day Foodie Dinner brings inspiration from Win Son, known for its creative take on Taiwanese-American cooking. Chef Dennis Chan is bringing that spirit to Blue Bamboo with a menu that balances bright, tangy flavors, crispy textures, cool noodles and a sweet finish.
We’ll start with refreshing marinated cucumbers, followed by fried eggplant with black vinegar for a savory, tangy bite. Next up are cold sesame noodles with shrimp, bringing rich sesame flavor and a satisfying combination of textures. And because every good trip deserves a sweet ending, we’ll finish with a banana caramel tart.
It’s a menu inspired by the bold, playful side of Taiwanese cooking, with Chef Dennis putting his own Blue Bamboo spin on every dish. Come discover something new and enjoy a culinary trip without leaving Jacksonville.
