Away for a Day Inspired by Burma Superstar Feb 17-18, 2027
Away for a Day: Burma Superstar, San Francisco
Discover the bold, vibrant flavors of Burma without leaving Jacksonville.
Join Chef Dennis Chan at Blue Bamboo for the next dinner in our Away for a Day Foodie Dinner Series. This month, we’re heading to San Francisco for inspiration from Burma Superstar, a restaurant celebrated for bringing the distinctive flavors of Burmese cuisine to the table.
Burmese cooking draws from a rich mix of Southeast Asian influences, bringing together fresh herbs, aromatic spices, bright flavors and comforting dishes. Chef Dennis has created a special menu inspired by this culinary tradition, featuring five dishes that take your taste buds on a journey of their own.
We’ll begin with the famous combination of textures and flavors found in tea leaf salad, followed by crispy Burmese samusas. The journey continues with chicken with fresh basil and comforting coconut chicken curry noodles. To finish, enjoy jackfruit banana spring rolls for a sweet ending to our San Francisco-inspired adventure.
Whether you’re already a fan of Burmese food or discovering it for the first time, this dinner is an opportunity to explore something different, one dish at a time.
