A Taste of Beijing: Summer Evening Cooking Class
Date: July 24, 2025
Time: 6:30-9PM
Location: Blue Bamboo
This July, join us for a Thursday evening that brings the rich street food culture and time-honored flavors of Beijing to life in our kitchen.
In this interactive, hands-on class, you’ll explore bold textures and nostalgic bites through three beloved dishes:
Tanghulu (Candied Fruit Skewers) – A sweet and crunchy treat that’s as beautiful as it is iconic. You’ll learn the art of making this traditional Beijing street snack with perfectly crisp sugar shells.
Pork Potstickers – Juicy, savory dumplings with golden, crispy bottoms. We’ll walk you through the pleating, pan-frying, and flavoring that make this northern classic shine.
Cong Bing (Savory Scallion Flatbreads) – Layers of crispy, chewy goodness packed with green onion flavor—these are addictively good and a staple of Beijing street eats.
Whether you’re reliving travel memories or discovering these flavors for the first time, this class is designed to delight your senses and bring people together.
Come hungry, leave inspired—and take a little piece of Beijing home with you.
