Ready to turn up the heat and master one of the most versatile tools in the kitchen? Join Chef Dennis Chan for Get Up and Wok, a hands-on cooking class designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of wok cooking—from high-heat stir-frying to building bold flavors quickly and efficiently.
In this beginner-friendly class, guests will prepare:
- Classic Fried Rice – balanced, flavorful, and properly wok-fired
- Cheater Pad Thai – a fast and approachable version of the Thai takeout favorite, made with a few simple ingredients
- Chicken Lettuce Wraps – savory, crisp, and packed with texture
- Bananas Foster – a dramatic wok-fired dessert to finish on a sweet note
Along the way, you’ll learn essential wok techniques including heat control, ingredient preparation, sauce timing, and how to achieve restaurant-style results at home. Chef Dennis will also discuss wok selection, seasoning, and practical tips for everyday wok cooking in your own kitchen.
After cooking, guests will sit down together to enjoy the dishes prepared during class.
No experience is necessary. Whether you are brand new to wok cooking or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is designed to build confidence and make cooking more approachable and fun.
