Each month, Chef Dennis Chan draws inspiration from memorable restaurants around the country, bringing their flavors, ideas and spirit to a special dinner at Blue Bamboo.

Some restaurants stay with you long after the meal is over. Maybe it was a memorable dish, a neighborhood favorite, a chef with a unique point of view, or a restaurant you discovered while traveling.
The Away for a Day Foodie Dinner Series brings those experiences to Jacksonville. Each month, Chef Dennis explores the food and inspiration of a different restaurant, drawing from places he has experienced and restaurants that have made their mark on America’s dining scene.
The menu changes with each destination. Some dinners may be served family-style, with dishes shared around the table. Others may feature multiple courses served individually. Either way, expect a special menu inspired by the featured restaurant and a chance to try something different.

A Different Kind of Dinner Out
These are special dinners, not our regular menu. Each event has its own inspiration, menu and personality, based on the restaurant being featured.
Depending on the evening, your meal may arrive as a family-style spread made for sharing or as a series of individual courses. The format will depend on the menu Chef Dennis creates for that event.
Ticket price: $45 per person

Dining format: Family-style or multi-course, depending on the event
Beverages: Available at your discretion and charged separately
